-          Supervising M.Sc. research thesis:

·       Effect of nanoparticles on asphaltene precipitation

2008- 2012         Junior Researcher (Ph. D. Candidate) at the Dietz Laboratory

                              Department of Geotechnology, Delft University of Technology 

-         Conducted detailed experimental and modeling study on foam flow in porous media as part of the duties to obtain a PhD thesis entitled: "Immiscible foam for enhancing oil recovery". Research revealed that immiscible foam displaced additional oil from waterflooded sandstone  cores, supporting the idea that foam is potentially an efficient  EOR method.

-         Co-supervised of 4  M.Sc. students on foam and polymer behavior in porous media  (experimental and modeling).

-         Conducted experimental research  on Alkaline-Surfactant-Foam (ASF) flooding for EOR. Research revealed successful performance of ASF flooding to produce incremental oil using X-ray computed tomography.

-         Designed and constructed coreflooding set-up for an industrial research project entitled: "Alkaline-Surfactant-Polymer (ASP) flooding for EOR"; conducted detailed ASP experiments (phase behavior, coreflood, effluent analyses ) for a heavy crude oil at high temperature condition.

 

2004- 2007          Researcher at Oil, Gas and Thermodynamic Research group

                                Tarbiat Modares University, Department of Chemical Engineering, Iran

-         Conducted detailed experimental  research on designing  appropriate polymeric gel as a water shut-off for high salinity (TDS: 200,000 ppm) and high temperature (80 to 90 ˚C) conditions for reducing water cut in oil production wells (sponsored by NIOC)

-         Conducted experimental  research on the rheological behavior of polymeric gel by using Modular Compact Rheometer.

-          Co-supervised of 3 M.Sc. students on the different aspects of polymeric gel as water shut-off (experimental an modeling).

-         Conducted experimental research on bulk and surface modification of silicone rubber by means of Interpenetrating Polymer Networks for biomedical applications.
